Optimedia wins euro work

The European Central Bank, Frankfurt, selected Optimedia, Paris, to handle media buying and planning for the $50 million information campaign that will precede the launch of bank notes and coins of the single European currency on Jan. 1, 2002. MindShare and Mediapolis also were in the final pitch for the media account. Optimedia parent Publicis won creative responsibilities late last week.
