Oral-B names Lowe for $15 mil account

Gillette Co.-owned Oral-B Laboratories named Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York, to handle its $15 million account -- which could grow to $30 million -- previously at BBDO Worldwide, Los Angeles. Lowe said it will open a San Francisco office to serve its new client. The agency also has Gillette's Braun division.Other contenders for Oral-B included DDB Needham Worldwide and Ketchum Advertising, both San Francisco, and BBDO.

Contenders are undisclosed, these brands were not advertised last year, previously, the brands were handled by several smaller shops
