As part of a reorganization, David Murphy has been named VP-director of consumer marketing and sales, a new department of the Chicago Tribune. Previously, Mr. Murphy was director of advertising sales. Also, Tim Landon, VP-marketing and development, will head a new unit--strategy, research and development.

Leonard P. Forman, 50, has been named to the new position of senior VP for corporate development, new ventures and electronic businesses at The New York Times Co., from president-CEO a Nynex/Newsday joint electronic service venture.
