Frito-Lay, Dallas, promoted Roger Berdusco to senior VP-marketing, as expected (AA, Sept. 9). Mr. Berdusco, formerly VP-marketing, succeeds Brock Leach, who moved to president, Frito-Lay/North America.
International Data Group, San Francisco, promoted Richard J. Marino to president-CEO of PC World Communications, from chief operating officer. He succeeds CEO Patrick Kenealy, who will head up a new IDG venture in San Francisco.
Rod McLeod, 56, to senior VP-marketing with Carnival Corp., Miami, a new position, from exec VP-sales, marketing and passenger services, Royal Caribbean Cruises. Because of a one-year non-compete agreement, Mr. McLeod will this year focus on marketing promotions with the Miami Heat, whose owner, Micky Arison, is also chairman of Carnival.
Patricia San Pedro, 40, to VP-community relations for the Miami Herald, from American Airlines, where she was manager-corporate communications for Florida/Caribbean/Latin America. She replaces Sam Verdeja, who resigned in May to open a marketing agency.
Primalia Chang to VP-advertising business manager, Conde Nast Publications, New York, from director of planning and finance for the Digital Marketing Group at Time Warner, New York.
