Marshall D. Orson to VP-general manager, Turner Reciprocal Advertising Corp., Atlanta, the barter sales unit of Turner Boradcasting Sales, from VP-sales and new-business development, Turner New Media. Also at Turner Broadcasting Sales, Tracy L. Smith and Meredith Zellweger were named VPs; at Turner Kids Television, Ms. Smith is Midwest region sales manager and Ms. Zellweger is Western region sales manager.

Bass PLC named former Federal Express Corp. CEO Tom Oliver to be chairman, president and CEO of Holiday Inn Worldwide; he is currently chairman, president and CEO of Audiofax. Mr. Oliver will succeed HIW chairman Bryan Langton, who retires March 31.
