Jim Nevins to exec VP-marketing for stores in the core Gap division of The Gap Inc., San Francisco, from senior VP-creative director, Clinique Laboratories. Mr. Nevins worked as senior VP-creative director at The Gap in the early 1990s. He succeeds Michael McCadden, now heading The Gap's new direct division. overseeing The Gap's online efforts, the Banana Republic catalog, and the expected online efforts of Old Navy.

Adolfo Aguilar, former president-chief creative officer of Bromley Aguilar & Associates, San Antonio, has opened his own agency, Creative Civilization. The agency opens with two undisclosed regional clients.
