Tom Fox, 35, to VP-sports marketing, Gatorade Co., Chicago, from director-U.S. sports marketing, Nike, Beaverton, Ore. He succeeds Bill Schmidt, who is leaving the Quaker Oats Co. division after 15 years.

Kelly Conlin, 39, president of International Data Group, Boston, has added the title of CEO. The post had been vacant since founder and Chairman Pat McGovern relinquished the title in 1995.

Lynn Rotando was named managing director of consultancy Pile & Co., Boston, from senior VP-brand development, Ocean Spray, Lakeville, Mass.
