David Kantor, 42, president of AMFM Radio Networks, announced he will leave the 2-year-old network following completion of Dallas-based AMFM Inc.'s merger with Clear Channel Communications, San Antonio. Mr. Kantor, who left ABC Radio Networks to launch the AMFM network, plans to pursue TV and Internet ventures with morning radio personality Tom Joyner. Next year, following the merger, AMFM Radio Networks will be combined with Premiere Radio Networks, Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Carolyn Bivens, senior VP-advertising and associate publisher of USA Today, Arlington, Va., June 21 resigned her position at the Gannett Co.-owned national daily. She will take a job in Los Angeles with Interpublic Group of Cos. Jacki Kelley, USA Today VP-advertising sales, will succeed Ms. Bivens as interim director.

James Holden, president of DaimlerChrysler Corp., Auburn Hills, Mich., will add the title and duties of CEO July 1. He succeeds Robert Eaton as CEO. Mr. Eaton, also chairman, retired March 31. Before becoming president last fall, Mr. Holden was exec VP-sales and marketing.
