Pepsi U.K. opens on Web

When the big corporate structure can't do it, the divisions will! Pepsi's U.K. division launched a Web site called The Fridge, which features Pepsi product infomation and sponsorship information/contests about the Edinburg "Fringe" Festival. Pepsi joins upstarts such as McDonald's Austrian division, a Pizza Hut branch which offers online ordering for those in the Santa Cruz, Calif. area, and various car dealerships such as Northbend (Wash.) Chevy/Olds/Geo, all of which have gone ahead with a Web site even though their parent companies do not have an Internet presence yet.
