Pizza Hut delivers ABC TV promotion

Pizza Hut, Dallas, will deliver ABC program guides with its pizzas through Sept. 19 in a promotion to launch the fall TV season. The 7,000-unit chain, a division of Tricon Global Restaurants, will include 16-page ABC program guides and coupons on pizza box tops, the company said. It was unclear whether such a deal was offered to McDonald's Corp., which has a 10-year marketing pact with ABC parent Walt Disney Co., and just finished sponsoring the hugely popular limited-run quiz show, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'' BBDO Worldwide, New York, handles advertising for Pizza Hut.
