Circuit City Stores, now close to a national retailer, announces its move into New York with comparative spots -- commercials that compare its prices and service to those of stolen merchandise. In one humorous ad from DeVito/Verdi, a man selling TVs from the back of a truck pulls away as a police siren wails. In another, a series of convicts are shown while the voice-over announces that they can offer lower prices but product questions are answered only duri ng prison visiting hours.
