New presidents named at PepsiCo restaurants

PepsiCo today announced a new structure for its soon-to-be-spun-off $20 billion restaurant group, creating new president titles with sweeping marketing responsibilities at each of its three fast-food chains.

DDB Needham's Rawlings to Pizza Hut - Mike Rawlings, former president of DDB Needham Worldwide, Dallas, was named president-chief concept officer of Pizza Hut. Mr. Rawlings was involved for many years on the Frito-Lay business at what was once called the Tracy Locke Partnership.

Ex-Burnetter to lead KFC - A former Leo Burnett Co. executive, Jeff Moody, was picked as president-chief concept officer at KFC. Mr. Moody has been with Pizza Hut since 1987 and two years ago was named senior VP-operations, PepsiCo Restaurants International.

Waller named Taco Bell chief - Taco Bell Senior VP-Marketing Peter Waller was tapped as president-chief concept officer at Taco Bell.

According to PepsiCo, under the new alignment the presidents will be "responsible for the overall leadership of the brand with specific focus on marketing, research and development and concept development." The company couldn't be reached at fax deadline for comment on how current senior marketing titles would be affected under the new structure.
