Mills Corp. inked a deal with Turner Broadcasting System to create MillsTV. Turner Private Networks will provide programming to Mills' seven super-regional shopping malls. The malls, with more than 40 large-size TV screens each, will carry customized programming backed by ads from national and on-site merchants.
Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority hit the road July 31 with its first mobile marketing tour, visiting 11 cities. At each stop, the "Viva Las Vegas" tour offers free promotions at major public venues, including the chance to get married "Vegas-style," talent competitions and lucky draw sweepstakes. The tour, handled by R&R Advertising, runs through Sept. 20.
Food Network teamed with Delta Air Lines this summer for "The Delta Food Experience." The promotion includes special in-flight food and cooking programs featuring star chef David Rosengarten, who also consulted on a new menu for first class.
