NEW YORK-Advertising Age has named Brian Quinn to the newly created post of eastern sales manager.

Mr. Quinn's primary responsibilities include focusing on new-media sales opportunities and managing New York sales efforts in conjunction with Greg Bauer, national sales manager.

Mr. Quinn has been an Ad Age sales representative for seven years.

"Brian's impact on our new-media sales efforts has been substantial," said Edward R. Erhardt, VP-publisher of the Ad Age Group. "This promotion reflects our ongoing strategy of integrating new-media sales and marketing into the Ad Age Group publications and brand products."

"With my expanded new-media responsibilities, I am especially looking forward to helping grow Ad Age's presence in the interactive arena," Mr. Quinn said. "Ad Age's weekly Interactive Media & Marketing section and new AdAge.com Web site have already positioned the magazine as the chief information source for organizations looking to take advantage of the Internet as a smart marketing tool.

"Now comes the exciting part: making these resources part of the overall marketing plans of Ad Age's best customers."
