Reckitt & Colman names McCann

London-based Reckitt & Colman on Wednesday consolidated its global advertising with McCann-Erickson Worldwide, New York. The company, whose products include Lysol cleaners, Airwick fresheners, Resolve carpet cleaner and Woolite detergent, estimates the consolidated budget at $230 million. It said more than 35 local and international agencies will be replaced.

In the U.S., the Lysol brand will move from Ammirati & Puris/Lintas. The company said its recent move to global category management led to the need for an agency capable of providing worldwide support. Remaining on Reckitt & Colman's U.S. roster, handling non-global brands, are TBWA Chiat/Day and Warwick, Baker & Fiore. The company estimates total U.S. media spending at more than $80 million.
