Renault parks German dealer account with Publicis off-shoot

BROHL -- French car maker Renault has parked its $15m-$20m German account for dealer marketing activites with Publicis subsidiary Mundosales. In the past, Renault Germany has handled dealer marketing in-house or used local agencies for projects on an ad-hoc basis.

The new account involves all communication activities of Renault dealers in Germany, including a new dealer magazine, direct marketing programs and open days as well as national and regional promotions.

Frankfurt-based Mundosales is a new Publicis Germany off-shoot to handle these sort of projects that were previously carried out within the main agency. The subsidiary - headed by Client Service Director Klaus J Mathiesen - also plans to target other Publicis clients.
