Saatchi quits MGM

Saatchi Entertainment Group of Saatchi & Saatchi Pacific, Torrance, Calif., pulled out of the running for the estimated $50 million MGM/UA media planning and buying account, which it won in 1994. Other clients of the entertainment group, which has 20 employees, include Capital Records. MGM, in its pitch, is looking for an agency to assist MGM in finding and working with promotional partners for upcoming films such as "Hoodlum," "Hurricane" and a new James Bond film, "Tomorrow Never Dies." BBDO/Worldwide, Los Angeles, is believed to be a front-runner.
