New York's El Diario La Prensa ran a full-page ad by phone-card marketer Union Telecard Alliance announcing its offices would close May 1. The newspaper's own ad-a blank page with the words "To us an America without immigrants is unimaginable: an empty page, dead air, a blank screen." bought its first "Stop the invasion" billboard in Dallas on May 4; more are planned for California, Arizona, Florida and Atlanta if sympathizers donate $25 a square foot to fund them; $15 buys a yard sign.

Los Angeles-based SiTV ran 15-second PSAs with footage of immigration rallies and classic quotes from Cesar Chavez in April; new PSAs will run in May based on filming and interviews done during the May 1 demonstrations in Los Angeles.
