SIM touts its reach

Softbank Interactive Marketing reaches almost half of all active Web users with its network of eight ad-supported Web sites, according to an analysis performed by PC Meter for SIM. The company, which represents inventory on Ziff-Davis' ZD Net, TV Guide Entertainment Network, Yahoo!, Netscape, Playboy and others, had a reach of 48.2% for the year ended Dec. 31, compared with 27.1% for DoubleClick Network.

PC Meter computed the reach figures by taking total reach of each company's affiliate sites, subtracting duplication and dividing by the total number of Web users.
