The U.S. Postal Service last week broke three quarter-page ads in USA Today introducing its offbeat "Smart Solutions" campaign. The ads from Young & Rubicam, New York, use cartoon graphics to tell how postal service products can solve problems for people. "We deliver for you" is the tagline. The ads will also appear in business magazines, starting in July, and TV is being considered. The estimated $70 million to $90 million account is in review.
