Smith Barney Mutual Funds unveils print campaign

SSB Citi Asset Management Group, New York, broke its first campaign for Citigroup's Smith Barney Mutual Funds family May 18. Ads from Hill, Holliday are tagged "Your serious money. Professionally managed." The campaign will run in newspapers including The New York Times, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal, and is expected to migrate to TV and radio later this year, said Stephen Cone, SSB Citi managing director and head of global retail marketing. The page ads feature b&w portraits of Smith Barney fund managers, with their funds' results and headlines such as "Meet John Goode. Last year, he was John exceptionally Goode" and "Jeff Russell doesn't rule the world. His investors, however, might disagree."
