Sprint Corp. was named the No. 1 long-distance carrier for customer satisfaction by J.D. Power & Associates. Its study showed Sprint's customers feel they receive good value for the money due to "straight-forward" pricing. AT&T Corp. and MCI Communications Corp. placed second and third, respectively. The study also showed that "customer churn" will continue to plague the telecommunications industry. Two out of three households that indicated they are "very dissatisfied" with their long-distance service said they may switch carriers in the next six months.
