AT&T launches Business Network

AT&T Corp. Monday launched the Business Network at an information and resources site designed for business professionals and entrepreneurs, The Business Network is organized into nine different sections including: news & publications; companies; industries; sales & marketing; management; government resources; regional resources; personal business and events & discussions. Another section, services & suppliers, will launch later this year.

Separately, AT&T New Media Services formed an alliance with Marketplace Information Corp., Waltham, Mass., to create Web-based products offered on the AT&T Business Network. Services to be offered in July include the Marketing Service Network, a database of marketing services needed to plan and execute marketing programs. Companies listed in the database include ad agencies, graphic artists, direct mail houses, list brokers and public relations firms. The Business Network will also offer the Market Analysis Reports, which provide views of markets by type of business, number of employees, revenue, geography and other variables.
