Target wins with 'Sign of the Times' ads

Target Stores won the Heineman trophy for best of show for its "Sign of the Times" multimedia campaign at the Retail Advertising & Marketing Association's RAC 2000 conference in Chicago. In other news at the retail conference, Dick Hammill, senior VP-marketing and communications at Home Depot, was inducted into the Retail Advertising Hall of Fame. Lord & Taylor, meanwhile, won the Newspaper Association of America's Retail Partnership award. Craig Sinclair, VP-advertising at Walgreen Co., was named chairman of RAMA, succeeding Paul Higham, senior VP-marketing and consumer communications, Wal-Mart Stores.
