Time Asia recruits new ad manager

HONG KONG -- Time magazine has recruited a former Hearst executive who also has experience as an agency media planner to be its advertising manager in Hong Kong.

Christine S. Connolly moved to Hong Kong late last year from the U.S., where her last job was as account manager for Hearst lifestyle publication Victoria. Her role was to develop mass beauty and home-related advertising.

Connolly's agency experience includes work as a media planner on various accounts and as brand media manager for Grey Advertising in New York, where she handled the Procter & Gamble business. She has also worked with Foote Cone & Belding since arriving in Hong Kong on an assignment for Dell Computers.

She replaces Carol Ann Tonn, who has moved to become Time Inc Asia's director of customer relations and events.
