Top Ad and Tech execs begin work on new ad standards for streaming media

Participants attending the first-ever meeting of the Streaming Media Advertising Advisory Council, a group of advertising and technology professionals working on standards for streaming media advertising, agreed that the most pressing needs to be addressed are audience measurement, ad models (buying and selling) and ad serving/technology. Members of SMAAC, who represent a cross-section of the ad industry, believe a standard framework must be created before wireless advertising can really take off.
