LONDON -- Interactive marketing consultancy network Tribal DDB is opening a Milan office. Tribal DDB Milano has been created through the acquisition of the interactive division of direct marketing specialist Rapp Collins, a sister Omnicom Group agency.

The network has eight other European offices: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris and Tallin. The European network forecasts billings of $60 million for 2001.

The Italian operation will be led by Executive Director Pietro Sansone, the current head of Rapp Collins Interactive.

The Milan office has a staff of 16. Accounts include investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston; Omnitel, Italy's second largest mobile operator; and leading food manufacturer Best Foods.

The agency will offer clients strategic business and brand planning, online brand building, Web development, online and e-mail marketing, eCRM and database management.

Tribal DDB Worldwide, with headquarters in London and New York, has 21 full-service offices spanning 15 countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. -- Bill Britt
