True North forms multicultural marketing network

True North Communications, Chicago, established a new multicultural marketing network, New America Strategies Group, to develop corporate marketing programs focused on diversity. The new unit, based in New York, will include True North's ethnic marketing agencies - Hispanic agency Siboney USA, Miami, African-American specialist Stedman Graham & Partners, Chicago, and Asian-American affiliate Admerasia - and marketing consultancy Skunkworks Marketing Lab.

New America Strategies will handle strategic forecasting, business building analysis, new product development and diversity planning; those services can be purchased on their own or with marketing and advertising implementation by the three ad agencies.

The company, which will be part of the True North Diversified Companies unit, will be headed by managing partner Alfred Schreiber, exec VP and general manager of Stedman Graham & Partners. The company's board will include Charles D. Peebler Jr., chairman-CEO of True North Diversified Cos.; Jose M. Cubas, chairman of Siboney; Stedman Graham, president-CEO of his company; Richard Mascolo, president of Skunkworks, and Val Zammit, chief operating officer of True North Diversified Cos.
