Turner Broadcasting has restructured its regional advertising sales operations for Asia/Pacific by creating separate sales forces for the entertainment and news divisions. Turner broadcasts the news channel CNN in Asia as well as Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), across multiple platforms.

Effective immediately, Jennifer Fletcher in Hong Kong is promoted to senior VP-ad sales, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, to look after ad sales for Cartoon Network, TCM, HBO South Asia and the company's new CETV venture in China. Ms. Fletcher, who was previously VP-ad sales, joined Turner as a sales planner in 1995.

Mark Whitehead, VP-news network, Asia/Pacific, will relocate from Singapore to Hong Kong to manage CNN's sales operations in Hong Kong, South East Asia and South Korea. Mr. Whitehead has been with the company for four years and moved to Singapore from London in June 1999.

Monty Ghai takes on the new role of director, global client solutions, Asia/Pacific, responsible for working with advertisers to build marketing partnerships that leverage the corporate capabilities of Turner and other Time Warner properties to build new revenue streams. He will work closely with all divisions of Time Warner to provide insight-based media ideas and integrated solutions for advertisers.
