If all was right with the sports world, Mike Tyson would sheepishly return Evander Holyfield's chewed-off ear, Brett Favre would know when to quit and Dennis Rodman would buy a one-way ticket to North Korea.
That's the premise of a hilarious new spot by BBDO, New York, promoting Foot Locker's "Week of Greatness" promotion.
The 60-second TV spot, which broke today on ESPN, starts innocuously enough with Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers musing that the week-long promotion of the world's best sneakers makes one feel "all is right with the world."
Cut to Tyson showing up at Holyfield's front door with a little box. "I'm sorry, Evander. It's your ear," he says, before the old boxing rivals hug it out.
When Rodman tells the airline ticket agent he wants a one-way ticket to North Korea, she can't help herself. "Whooh!" she screams before joyously informing the flyers standing around the counter.
Favre, the former Green Bay Packer, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings quarterback famous for retiring, unretiring, then retiring again, decides against a second helping of breakfast.
"It was great. But a man's got to know when to walk away," says the QB.
There's even a cameo by TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager, who's infamous in the sports world for his loud, garish suits. We see Sager bidding farewell to his hideous wardrobe via a bonfire.
