U S West Interactive Services plans to introduce an Internet-based local online service called Dive In in ten cities across the nation by yearend. Dive In will offer info on entertainment, sports, business, health and lifestyles and has formed agreements with a handful of content providers including Golf.Com, Quote.Com and The Weather Channel. Additionally, the service tapped Burst Media, Katonah, N.Y., to handle Web sales and will use NetGravity's software to manage online ads. The company has also formed marketing alliances with Yahoo! and HotWired.
