UDV appoints global brand director for Johnnie Walker

LONDON--Diageo-owned United Distillers and Vintners (UDV) has promoted Stephen Morley to be global brand director for Johnnie Walker whisky. Mr. Morley, previously global strategy and commercial director for venture markets, will report directly to UDV Global Marketing Director Rob Malcolm.

Mr. Morley succeeds Alice Avis, who left earlier this year to work for a dot-com company. Mr. Morley's successor is yet to be announced.

Mr. Morley, who joined the sprits giant in 1982, will oversee a global advertising budget of $160 million.
