Unilever drops O&M from European frozen food roster

ROTTERDAM--Unilever has ditched Ogilvy & Mather from its frozen food accountsacross Europe, leaving the business to its two remaining roster agenciesAmmirati Puris Lintas and McCann-Erickson. McCann benefits from theconsolidation, picking up the frozen poultry account that was previouslyhandled by O&M.

The move follows a restructuring of the business across Europe intointernational innovation centers covering specific product areas that wereset up to beef up new product development.

The company confirmed the termination of O&M's hold on the account and itsaward to McCann, but would not reveal the media spend involved. However,O&M's share is believed to have been just 10% of the total.
