USA pushes its teen show

USA Network will soon launch a multifaceted marketing promotion for an original series, "USA High," which premiered Aug. 4. A mall tour, where consumers can win a walk-on part on the show, will hit 10 locations over two weekends in October. USA Network will support the tour with print ads in teen magazines as well as with local radio and cable TV spots. A "Be a star" sweepstakes promotion in 96 theaters begins Sept. 19, supported by on-screen ads, a music video on the video wall of certain theater lobbies and displays. A back-to-school sweepstakes promotion, supported by on-air promos on USA, begins Aug. 18, while a separate tie-in with Total TV begins Aug. 16. Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, handles USA.
