Web advertising increases steadily

The Nielsen/NetRatings Ad Index reached 111.6 in July, a 7.4% increase over June and an 11.6% gain over the index's May launch.The index offers a snapshot of Web advertising by measuring monthly changes in the number of Web site banner and button ads downloaded by NetRatings' user panel.

The top 10 domains accounted for 54.9% of banner ads and buttons. At the same time, the top 10 advertisers accounted for 30.3% of the ads and buttons.
