WorldCom narrows review for $70 mil MCI account

WorldCom is believed to have narrowed the review for its $70 million MCI-branded consumer business to four finalists: Deutsch and incumbent Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmeterer Euro RSCG, both New York; TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif.; and a fourth agency. A decision is expected in the next several weeks. MCI did not return telephone calls seeking comment at deadline.
