Agency Oversight Remains Unchanged

CINCINNATI (AdAge.com) -- William Wrigley Jr. Co. realigned its senior management team earlier this week with a series of related changes, including elevating President-CEO Bill Wrigley Jr. to chairman.

Marketing changes
The most direct effect on marketing responsibilities, said a spokesman, is that Gary E. McCullough, senior vice president for the Americas, whose responsibilities included oversight of marketing, now has such responsibility globally as senior vice president of worldwide commercial business.

Kathryn Olson, vice president of consumer marketing, continues in those responsibilities, including overseeing agency relations.

In other moves, Chief Financial Officer Ronald V. Waters also becomes chief operating officer, and Peter R. Hempstead, formerly senior vice president for international, becomes senior vice president of worldwide strategy and new business, with oversight directing mergers, acquisitions and development of global brands.

BBDO Worldwide
Wrigley's primary ad agency is Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, Chicago, with which it's currently renegotiating its contract.
