MRM Worldwide's Jon Schneider Dies at 52

Industry Veteran Also Spent Time at JWT, Ogilvy, Wunderman

NEW YORK ( -- Jon Schneider, exec VP-director of client services at Interpublic Group of Cos.' MRM Worldwide, New York, died suddenly at his Brooklyn home on March 22. He was 52 years old.

Mr. Schneider was a committed advertising and marketing veteran. He worked for three decades in the advertising world, spending time at JWT, Ogilvy & Mather and Wunderman, among other notable agencies. He joined MRM in 2006 after eight years at Digitas, where he was VP-marketing director.

At MRM, Mr. Schneider oversaw client relationships with MasterCard, Intel and ExxonMobil, among other large marketers. According to the digital and direct-marketing agency, he was instrumental in winning accounts for Diageo brands Crown Royal and Captain Morgan. He was also helping build a new pharmaceutical practice.

Friends and colleagues mourned Mr. Schneider's untimely death on his public Facebook profile. They celebrated his humor, generosity and enthusiasm for life.

Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two brothers, Tom and Russ; a sister, Sue; and 20 nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held today at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Manhattan.
