People on the Move: Angela Wei Named Chief Digital Officer of Arnold, New York

Arnold Worldwide has hired Angela Wei as chief digital officer in its New York office, a newly created role. Ms. Wei comes from Time Inc., where she was executive director-digital marketing solutions in the Branded Solutions division. She developed award-winning programs for advertisers that included Intel, Toyota, Microsoft and Kraft Foods. Before joining Time Inc., Ms. Wei spent two years as senior VP-marketing and production at Heavy Inc., an online-video-entertainment company. In her 15-year career in digital media, Ms. Wei has also held positions at Sundance Channel, MTV .com, FCB and Razorfish, among other companies.

Annie Longsworth has been named CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S, North America. For nine years, Ms. Longsworth has been president of the San Francisco office of communications company Cohn & Wolfe, where she founded a Global Sustainability Practice. She has 18 years of communications experience and an Executive M.B.A. in sustainability. Saatchi S is a strategy and communications consultancy that helps clients incorporate sustainability practices into their operations.

iVillage has appointed James Kreckler VP-ad sales. Mr. Kreckler has been Rodale's VP-digital ad sales for the past five years. Before that , he was VP-East Coast sales at Interpolls Inc., where he coordinated an aggressive expansion into the New York-East Coast marketplace for the launch of Interpolls rich-media platform. Mr. Kreckler was Northeast sales director at AOL Interactive and strategic account director at DoubleClick earlier in his career.

Jeffrey Fagel has joined EDO Interactive, a digital-marketing technology company, as VP-marketing and brand development. He was most recently with Kmart, responsible for strategic leadership across the brand and private-label portfolio. In addition to managing the Kmart-Martha Stewart licensed-brand partnership, Mr. Fagel crafted the exit strategy for the Martha Stewart business that ended January 2010. He was behind the interactive and led the development of the first brand-produced, Spanish-language web series distributed through YouTube. He began his career in PR, and then moved to product management and innovation leadership positions at Gatorade, Frito-Lay and ConAgra.

McKinney has promoted VP-Group Account Director Jim Reath to executive VP and expanded his duties to include those of the new post of director of retail and shopper marketing. With the promotion comes a seat on the company's board of directors. Mr. Reath joined McKinney in 2010 from Y&R Chicago. As chief marketing officer and head of the agency's Sears account there, he, along with his teams, won two Cannes Lions and a gold Effie. Mr. Reath started out at Ammirati Puris Lintas, Chicago, in 1994; in 1998 he went back to his native Canada to work for Labatt Brewing Co. He returned to Ammirati in 1999, then joined FCB Worldwide and JWT, Chicago. He later moved to Leo Burnett, where he rose to senior VP, and to Y&R in 2008.

Dan Thomas has been named senior VP-strategic accounts for USA Today. He joins from Sony Pictures Television, where he has been senior VP-branded entertainment since 2009. Mr. Thomas was with Univision for more than 10 years as senior VP-sales development and marketing. Before that , he spent five years at Lifetime Television in sales development and new media.

Marketing-services firm Media Horizons Inc. has hired Erica DePalma as VP-digital marketing. Most recently VP-digital at Omnicom Group's Novus Media, Ms. DePalma also served previously as associate director-media at Digitas/ Modem Media. She has been recognized as a "Top 30 Under 30" by Direct Marketing News and as a "Rising Media Star" by Media Magazine.
