NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- TBWA Worldwide named Robert Harwood-Matthews to the new position of global managing director on Nissan's Infiniti account, the Omnicom Group agency said.
Mr. Harwood-Matthews, 38, had been CEO of the agency network's Manchester, U.K., office since 2007 but will be based out of TBWA/Chiat/Day's Los Angeles office starting in early February. He'll report to John McNeel, president of global clients at TBWA Worldwide.
"We're thrilled to have someone with Robert's enthusiasm, passion for brands and global sensibilities leading our efforts on Infiniti," Mr. McNeel said in a statement. "Our network and the Infiniti team have set big ambitions for the brand globally, and Robert's got the talent and leadership to get us there."
Mr. Harwood-Matthews joined TBWA, London, in 2002 as client-services director and ran Sony PlayStation's pan-European account, along with Nissan in Great Britain, before he took the top post at the Manchester office. Under his watch, the office tallied 20 new-business wins, including BP Retail and Manchester United.
He will be succeeded by Fergus McCallum, chief operating officer at the Manchester office.
