CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Viacom-owned Infinity Broadcasting Corp. named John Fullam president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

He succeeds Dan Mason, who is leaving Infinity to spend more time with his family but will remain a consultant, according to the company.

Mr. Fullam, most recently senior regional vice president at rival Clear Channel Communications, will oversee the day-to-day operations of Infinity's 183 radio stations.

Mr. Fullam will report to Infinity's Chairman-CEO John Sykes.
