Jeff Pullen Joins AudienceScience as President and COO
Jeff Pullen has joined targeting technology company AudienceScience as president and chief operating officer. Mr. Pullen was most recently CEO of US Search, a people search and public-records company. Prior to US Search, he was CEO of QFour Digital, which he formed in partnership with GTCR Golder Rauner. He has also held several positions at ValueClick, including chief operating officer.
Pernilla Ammann has been promoted to chief operating officer of Mother, New York. She has been with the shop since it opened its New York office in 2003. Mother, New York's clients include Johnson & Johnson, Target , Dell Computers, NBC Universal, Stella Artois and New Balance Lifestyle.
Discovery Communications has elevated John Honeycutt to the new role of exec VP-head of international business operations for Discovery Networks International. A seven-year veteran of Discovery, Mr. Honeycutt contributed to the global roll-out of the company's HD services and has played a key role in the company's efforts to prepare for the launch of a 24-hour 3-D network through its joint venture with Sony and IMAX. Prior to joining Discovery, Mr. Honeycutt served as senior VP-broadcast operations for Fox Cable Networks in Los Angeles.
Bazaarvoice has promoted Heather Brunner to chief operating officer. Ms. Brunner joined Bazaarvoice in August 2008 as senior VP-worldwide client services, and has led a client-success team that has produced social-commerce case studies showing measurable results for some of the world's largest brands. In her role as chief operating officer, she will be responsible for the company's global operations.
Town Sports International Holdings has appointed Robert Giardina president-CEO. Mr. Giardina returns to the fitness-club holder after serving as CEO from January 2002 through October 2007. He originally joined TSI in 1981 and served as president-chief operating officer from 1992 to 2001.
Bonnier Corp. has promoted Scott Salyers from publisher of Sports Fishing to group publisher of its four fishing titles. As group publisher, he now adds Salt Water Sportsman, Marlin and Fly Fishing in Salt Waters. Mr. Salyers has been with Sport Fishing since 1997. He was originally hired as the southeast sales representative and rose to national sales manager before being promoted to associate publisher and then publisher.
IFC and Sundance Channel have expanded their partnerships sales group with the addition of three executives. Vanessa Benfield has been named senior VP-partnership, sales and integrated solutions; Tony Song has been named to the new position of VP-sales & partnerships, East Coast; and Ilene Danuff joins as VP-branded content and Integrated Solutions, also a new position. Ms. Benfield joins the networks from MTV Networks Entertainment Group, where she was most recently VP-East Coast sales, overseeing a sales team responsible for Comedy Central, Spike, TV Land and CMT. Mr. Song was previously director of East Coast national media sales for BET Networks and Ms. Danuff was most recently the marketing and creative services director for Plum Television.
In Demand has named Lauren LoFrisco to the newly created position of senior VP-affiliate marketing. Before joining the company, Ms. LoFrisco worked for Time Warner Cable, where she was most recently group VP-marketing. Prior to that, she helped launch the Road Runner High Speed Online broadband service as VP-marketing. In Demand creates and delivers programming through cable pay-per-view, video-on-demand (VOD) and digital platforms.
