People on the Move: JWT India Names Bindu Sethi as Chief Strategy Officer and Bobby Pawar as Chief Creative

Bindu Sethi is rejoining JWT India as chief strategy officer. Ms. Sethi was most recently the Asia Pacific strategy planning officer for Grey Group, where she worked with clients including GSK, Honda, Reliance Communication, Britanna and Fererro. Previously, she served as Grey India's national planning director, and as national planning director for JWT India. In between those roles, she was at Hindustan Lever Ltd. (Unilever) as general marketing manager-innovation, working on its hair-care business. JWT India has also tapped Bobby Pawar as chief creative officer and managing partner. Mr. Pawar makes the move from Mudra Group, where he served as chief creative officer. In the past he has worked for Ogilvy Mumbai, Tara Sinha Associates and Rediffusion in India, and Ogilvy & Mather New York and BBDO, Chicago, on such brands as Volkswagen, Emirates, Philips, Lifesavers and AT&T.

Leo Burnett Worldwide has hired Michael Boychuk as senior VP-creative director and Kevin Lilly as senior VP-participation strategy director. Mr. Boychuk joins Leo Burnett from SK&G in Las Vegas, where he served as executive creative director. Previously, he was creative director for Eleven Inc. He also helped pioneer Seattle's WongDoody agency, now known as Wong, Doody, Crandall, Wiener. Mr. Lilly comes to Leo Burnett from Starcom MediaVest Group, where he was a senior digital group director for clients such as ESPN, Hallmark, US Cellular and Hanes. Prior to that , he held leadership roles at other media shops including Mindshare and OMD, as well as in the media departments at DraftFCB and DDB, Chicago.

Citysearch has named Kimberly Salzer VP-general manager for the local online guide. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing the online guide's products and marketing strategy. Most recently, Ms. Salzer was head of marketing and product for Linden Lab's Second Life, the largest 3-D virtual world. Before that , she spent five years in various roles for Activision Blizzard, including VP-global brand management for the "Guitar Hero" franchise, VP-global brand management on family entertainment (managing global DreamWorks, Hasbro and Fox games businesses), and director-global brand management on "Call of Duty." She has also held leadership positions at Electronic Arts and The Clorox Co.

Oxygen Media has appointed Tony Carbone VP-digital. In this role, he will lead the strategy, planning and execution for existing and emerging digital platforms, including mobile, apps, interactive TV, gaming and digital-content distribution, and will be based in Oxygen's New York office. Before joining Oxygen, Mr. Carbone was director-commercial operations at NBC Universal's iVillage. Prior to that , he was VP-digital content and programming at VH1.

Harper's Magazine has appointed Jason Chupick as VP-public relations. Before joining Harper's Magazine, Mr. Chupick was media director at Crenshaw Communications and VP-media relations at Plesser Holland, where he worked with media organizations including Wired, CNET, Salon and MIT's Technology Review. Mr. Chupick is the founding editor of's PR industry blog, PRNewser. has hired Paul Jenkins as its new chief technology officer. He will be responsible for's IT and development organizations and will be charged with setting technology direction and driving company growth, including the redesign and optimization of the company's website and an expansion of capabilities for the website's traveler base. Mr. Jenkins previously served as the CEO and CTO of CruiseLabs, Inc., an e-commerce travel technology company. Prior to joining CruiseLabs, Inc., he was a consultant to Travelocity. He also holds three patents, one for his development of integrated voice messaging and two for developments in data systems.
