People on the Move: Endemol Beyond USA Names Adrian Sexton as COO
Endemol Beyond USA has appointed Adrian Sexton, Participant Media's former digital media VP, as chief operating officer. Mr. Sexton will oversee building new strategic partnerships and investments, business development, strategy, sales and distribution opportunities for the network. Before Participant Media, he was head of digital and business development at Lionsgate. He also served as chief developer officer at Dynamics and co-founded TAG Strategic and New Medici agencies.
The company also named Jeff Browning as senior VP-sales and Jenn Mancini as VP-East Coast sales. Mr. Browning comes from Univision Television, where he served as senior VP-network sales. Prior to Univision, he led West Coast sales for Spike TV at Viacom. Ms. Mancin, before joining the company, led Maker Studios' East Coast lifestyle sales vertical and worked as VP at Base79. Mancini has also held senior sales and strategy positions at MySpace and CNET.
Mr. Reifenheiser came to Essence in 2014 from Starcom MediaVest, and most recently served as its North American head of media, overseeing the agency's programmatic, biddable, planning, account management, investment and advertising operations teams across its New York, San Francisco and Seattle offices. Ms. Carl also started at Essence last year as global marketing director after heading communications for Razorfish. Ms. Carl also ran business development for DDB Seattle. Mr. Selman joined Essence from Razorfish, where he was group VP, leading the strategy practice for its West region. His previous roles include senior director of marketing for T-Mobile, product manager of Allied Telesyn and marketing positions at Ripcord Systems, Headbone Interactive and The Walt Disney Company.
xAd hired Paul Gelb and Reagan Nunnally as VP-global brands and agencies; Lissette Fernandez as global account management and operations; and James Davies as head of channel, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Mr. Gelb most recently served as the head of programmatic and marketplace development at Twitter, joining through the acquisition of MoPub, a network where he had served as chief of strategy. Mr. Gelb was also VP and founder of mobile practice at Razorfish before a stint at Twitter. Ms. Nunnally joined from Google where she spent 11 years on the U.S. and global agency sales team, building out creative, media, and performance strategies for Fortune 50 brands and agency holding companies, including Dentsu Aegis. Prior to Google, Ms. Nunnally led digital sales teams at Viacom and CBS. Ms. Fernandez came from Facebook where she was a director of account management for global marketing solutions. Before Facebook, Ms. Fernandez led sales and account teams across the advertising landscape at media giants such as Razorfish and Univision. Mr. Davies has spent 18 years at Posterscope where he was chief strategy officer, reinventing out of home advertising with digital communications.
