Steve Kerho, one of Advertising Age's 2007 Media Mavens, has joined the Los Angeles office of Omnicom Group's Organic, San Francisco, in the new position of VP-analytics, media and marketing optimization from Nissan North America, where he was director-interactive marketing and media on Nissan and Infiniti. Nissan, which recently reorganized its marketing staff, said his successor on the Nissan brand is Erich Marx, director-marketing communications and media; the same job for Infiniti remains open.

Austin, Texas-based ad agency GSD&M Idea City has recruited Mark Taylor to serve as its executive creative director. Mr. Taylor most recently was creative director at MDC Partners' Crispin Porter & Bogusky, where he worked on accounts such as Burger King, Nike and Volkswagen.

Stephen Berkov has joined in the newly created position of executive director-client strategy, a spokeswoman for the independent auto website confirmed. Mr. Berkov had been director-brand marketing and innovation at Audi of America since June 2006 and moved in December to regional advertising manager of Audi's West Coast region.

Publisher Rodale has appointed John McCarthy VP-Rodale Direct. Most recently, he was senior VP-consumer marketing at Source Interlink Media.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Baron Carr VP-brand marketing for Regent, Radisson and the rest of the company's brands. Mr. Carr was most recently VP-branding and multicultural marketing for Allianz of America.

Niche Media has named Dan Uslan publisher of its upscale Chicago lifestyle title, Michigan Avenue, which will launch in September. The former senior VP-U.S. sales for Morris Visitor Publications also will serve as president-Midwest sales.

Berkeley, Calif.-based brand-consulting firm Addis Creson has appointed Rodney Williams as a principal heading its strategy group. Most recently, Mr. Williams was senior VP of the Robert Mondavi lifestyle brands at Constellation Brands.

Ken Willner has joined new mobile-widget platform Zumobi as VP-market development. Mr. Willner was most recently VP-advertising and media at AT&T Wireless.
