NEW YORK: American Advertising Federation inducted six new members into its Advertising Hall of Achievement recently at the Plaza hotel. The new inductees included (l. to r.): G.M. O'Connell, president-chief operating officer, TN Technologies; Jack Rooney, VP-marketing, Miller Brewing Co.; Mary Baglivo, president, Euro RSCG Tatham, Chicago; Gary Topolewski, exec VP-chief creative officer, Bozell Worldwide, Southfield, Mich.; Dawn Hudson, exec VP-marketing and strategic business development, Frito-Lay; and Scott Crystal, VP-director of advertising, National Geographic Society.

LAS VEGAS: Steve Ballmer (l.), exec VP-sales and support at Microsoft Corp., met Michael Leeds, president-CEO of CMP Media, at a Comdex/Fall '97 party at the Hard Rock hotel to launch CMP's Computer Reseller News Hall of Fame. Mr. Ballmer was one of 15 inductees.

NEW YORK: Tramps was the location for a showcase of six advertising agency bands sponsored by SmartMoney.
