Richard "Dick" Neff, an adman who worked at agencies such as Young & Rubicam, J. Walter Thompson and Compton Advertising, died March 23 in New York. Mr. Neff, 90, wrote a column for Ad Age, "The Peeled Eye Dept.," from 1959 to 1975.

Ilse Cermak, 77, died March 23 in Evanston, Ill. Ms. Cermak worked for Advertising Age in Chicago for 28 years, retiring in 1993. She began as a private secretary and rose to assistant international editor, and was integral to the launch of two publications for Crain Communications, Ad Age Europe and Ad Age International.
