NEW YORK: The New Yorker hosted a cocktail party at Gotham Bar & Grill to toast the appointment of David Remnick (r.) as editor of the weekly. WASHINGTON: Network of City Business Journals and Washington Business Journal held a luncheon at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel that featured keynote speaker Fred Hochberg (r.), deputy administrator for the Small Business Administration. NEW YORK: American Business Press presented its third annual CEBA Awards at the Sheraton New York recently. The association capped off the afternoon presenting its Norman L. Cahners Award for lifetime achievement in business-to-business advertising to Howard Stringer (c.), president, Sony Corp. of America.
