ARLINGTON, VA.: Wal-Mart Stores, as 1998 retail supporter of USA Weekend's Make a Difference Day, will provide more than $2.5 million in grants for projects related to the national day of volunteering. Make a Difference Day is held in partnership with Points of Light Foundation, with major funding from Newman's Own. Celebrating Wal-Mart's role are (from l.)
