Hearst New Media & Technology purchased horoscope and astrology content provider Astronet for an undisclosed sum. Astronet, an exclusive provider on America Online, will be the horoscope and astrology channel on Hearst HomeArts (www.homearts.com and on AOL). Astronet's Web site (www.astronet.com) will be co-branded and linked to HomeArts. The multiyear deal will also allow a co-branded HomeArts Astronet to continue to be the exclusive astrology provider for AOL and AOL.com.

Go officially launches

Go Network, the portal from Infoseek Corp. and Walt Disney Co., officially launches Jan. 12 with a national marketing campaign tagged "Are you ready to Go?" Go Network declined to disclose spending.

The campaign includes national TV, outdoor boards, radio and banners on nearly 100,000 sites. CKS Silicon Valley, Cupertino, Calif., created the campaign.
